Space to think. Confidence to lead.

Practical business mentoring for owners and leaders who want clearer thinking, better decisions and a business that doesn't depend on them for everything.

The Reality of Leadership

Running a business or leading a team can be a surprisingly lonely job. It's easy to get pulled into the day to day, dealing with problems, making decisions and keeping everything moving, with very little time to think about where the business is actually going.

Mentoring gives you a confidential space to step back, talk things through with someone who's been there, challenge your thinking and work out what needs to happen next.

What is Business Mentoring?

Business mentoring is a confidential relationship with someone you can talk openly to, without worrying about what you should or shouldn't say.

It's not consulting and I won't tell you how to run your business. I'll listen, share experience when it's useful, ask questions and sometimes challenge the way you're looking at things.

The aim is to help you think more clearly, make better decisions and build the confidence and capability to deal with whatever comes next.

Who'd Gain from Mentoring?

Business owners and leaders

“I've built a good business, but there are decisions I can't easily talk about with my team. I'd value someone experienced who'll listen, understand the pressure and tell me what they really think.”

Stuck in the day to day

“My days disappear into problems, questions and chasing things up. I know I should be thinking further ahead and developing my people, but the business keeps pulling me back in.”

Ready to grow

“We've built something good, but we've hit a ceiling. I need to strengthen the team, improve how we sell and grow the business without everything continuing to depend on me.”

Running on empty

“I'm tired. I've spent so long keeping everything going that I've lost some of the enjoyment I once had. I need some space to think about what I want from the business and what needs to change.”

Getting your head out of the weeds.

One of the things I hear most from business owners is, ‘I just don't have time to think.’

You're dealing with customers, people, problems and decisions all day long. Sometimes you need someone to help you step away from all that noise and work out what actually matters.

    That's often where mentoring starts

    Sorting team friction.

Most team problems aren't really people problems. Quite often, they're conversations that haven't happened.

Something gets avoided, assumptions creep in and before long everyone's slightly irritated with everyone else.

I help leaders have those conversations earlier and get people talking properly again.

    Making your sales process work.

I've spent a large part of my working life in sales, and I've seen businesses make selling far more complicated than it needs to be.

Good selling isn't about clever techniques or putting pressure on people. It's about understanding why somebody might buy and helping your team have better conversations.

That's what I help businesses build.
